As a Public Safety Officer, you will provide critical services and information to students, staff, faculty, and visitors on campus while working within our supported police department. For those applicants who may be interested in a career in law enforcement, this entry-level position allows you to safeguard the people, resources and infrastructure at UT Southwestern while growing your criminal justice background. Shift Availability PSOs at UT Southwestern are assigned to the following shifts:
Required
Education High School Diploma Graduation from high school, vocational school, or equivalent
Experience
No experience required. and
Must successfully pass a thorough background investigation. and
Must be able to provide creditable testimony in a court of law. and
All offers of employment are contingent upon a verified negative drug screen. and
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a University owned and/or leased motor vehicle.
Security
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
