The Cecil H. and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences, an endowed basic science research center, is recruiting to fill a newly created non-tenure, Research-track Associate Professor position. We invite applications from outstanding candidates studying histone modifications and chromatin regulation in physiology and disease using cell-based and physiological models in combination with molecular, biochemical, genomic, and proteomic approaches to address fundamental questions concerning areas of biology of relevance to the Center. We are particularly interested in candidates studying signaling, gene regulation, and genome function in females related to gynecological cancers (e.g., ovarian, breast), the maternal cardiovascular system, and metabolic tissues (e.g., adipose, liver).
The duties for this position will be to 1) perform independent and/or collaborative, scientifically rigorous research, and related activities in the Green Center, 2) prepare grants and manuscripts for independent or collaborative research funding, 3) provide mentoring and training to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and clinician scientists, and 4) participate in various Center-related activities as assigned by the Center Director. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
The Green Center promotes and supports cutting-edge, integrative, and collaborative basic research in reproduction, development, and related areas of biology, as well as strong connections between basic and clinical research. Successful candidates will be housed in a newly renovated state-of-the-art research facility with a suitable start-up package. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. or equivalent in a relevant field of study, prior experience as an Assistant or Associate Professor, a strong track record of published works, and a demonstrated track record of research excellence.
