Our vibrant department comprises more than 75 full-time faculty in 12 subspecialty sections, supporting a spectrum of complex and innovative approaches to neurological care, a broad range of novel research programs, and a panoply of educational opportunities for trainees. The department offers access to the latest innovative treatments in one of the most rapidly advancing fields of medicine and features an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level-4 NEAC Epilepsy Center. Through collaborations with the O’Donnell Brain Institute, the department is building state-of-the art facilities for drug and device testing and bringing current and new faculty together for collaborative research on brain disease therapy.
JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Neurology is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with exceptional communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. This essential lead role will lend critical support to our leadership team and faculty to support our continued growth through the following primary roles and responsibilities:
Prepares and/or supervises preparation of periodic (monthly/quarterly) financial reports and reviews all reports for errors and inconsistencies; analyzes variations in performance; determines reasons for variance; and develops recommendations for improvement. Meets regularly with management and faculty to review accounts, identify issues, and complete necessary adjustments to resolve. The incumbent will also assist in the preparation of department budgets through the planning process, enter detail budget data through the institutional system, and generate reports for leadership review. Completes more complex special projects as requested. Maintain controls for policies and procedures for financial system; develops and maintains delegation of authority of various procedure. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to enhance your leadership skills by mentoring and training. Our ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel and Power BI. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
