JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for standardizing, improving, documentation and supporting UT Southwestern Medical Center’s supply chain processes and data needs. This person should be familiar with PeopleSoft 9.2, the Item Master, the creation and updating reporting and metrics for Supply Chain Management as well as other departments as needed. Duties will range from business process analysis, data quality assurance and control, and training/technical support. Works closely with the Supply Chain Analytics team members, Strategic Sourcing, Contracts Management, Purchasing, Material Management Operations and Asset Management to provide support and guidance on business operations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Healthcare, Statistics, Business, Supply Chain Management or closely related field or
Associate’s Degree or
High School Diploma
- Experience
2 years of data management/analytics performing systems analysis and/or business process analysis within a healthcare or related industry environment experience with Bachelor’s Degree or
4 years of related experience with Associate’s Degree or
6 years of related experience with High School Diploma/equivalent

JOB DUTIES
- Support the Supply Chain areas of Analytics, Strategic Sourcing, Contracts Management, Purchasing, Materials Management Operations and Asset Management. This position reports directly to the Manager, SC Systems & Analytics.
- Assist SC Analyst Sr. and Manager, SC Systems & Analytics with data extraction or data mining and reporting. Identify key data points, perform analysis and compile meaningful recommendations / interpretations of results for consideration by internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with departmental projects and serves as secondary departmental contact for all reporting/data mining tasks. Assist SC Analyst Sr. with monitoring compliance to project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provides regular project status updates to SC Analyst Sr. and the Manager, SC Systems & Analytics.
- Ensure accuracy of data and reporting, mitigate audit/data risk by establishing processes to validate data an on ongoing basis.
- Assist in developing queries/reports and troubleshooting.
- Cultivate and maintain successful relationships with peers, functional departments and business colleagues from various business units in the network.
- Assist other analysts with data needs and project coordination.
- Increase efficiency of operations and identify new cost savings opportunities through analysis and data mining.
- Coordinate the preparation and the timely submission of documents to federal agencies, state agencies, private research funding agencies and other organizations as required by law and contractual vehicle.
- Maintain specific supplier relationships and ensure contract performance/compliance.
- Assist with strategic sourcing and procurement projects.
- Communicate procurement activities and results throughout the process to business owners.
- Work with internal customers to turn business requirements into contractual supplier relationships.
- Assist with development of procedural documents and SOP’s/training tools that standardize Supply Chain Management and Analytics operations.
- Assist SC Analyst Sr. and Manager, SC Systems & Analytics with data requests. Produce ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and communicate results using Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- Maintain and develop Item Master data and HUB reporting; provide process improvement recommendations.
- Assist in data extractions for consulting agencies and UT Alliance to provide metrics and reporting for benchmarking and analytical purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
