Opportunity available for an experienced Vascular Interventional Radiologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked the No. 1 Best Hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Divisional duties include providing clinical interventional radiology services primarily in the new Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center and Clements University Hospital & Clinics, with additional opportunities at Parkland Health & Hospital System. Candidates should be excited to work in an academic environment and committed to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Vascular & Interventional Radiology Division & Facilities:
• Growing Vascular Interventional Radiology Practice with 16 faculty members, 14 Advanced Practice Providers and 17 interventional radiology residents
• Clements University Hospital has four dedicated Philips angiography systems capable of cone-beam CT with embolization navigation guidance system, Siemens Nexaris combined CT angiography room, dedicated CT and US procedure rooms with advanced needle guidance capabilities and a Siemens MR interventional suite
• Simmons Cancer Center has a single Siemens Cios Alpha C-arm fluoroscopy room.
• Parkland Memorial Hospital has four Philips angiography systems capable of cone-beam CT, dedicated CT and US procedure rooms
• A full consult service for inpatients exists at both Clements University Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital
• A dedicated Interventional Radiology clinic with four exam rooms and one procedure room is present at Clements University Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital. All outpatient referrals are seen in the clinic before and after the procedure
Research Collaboration:
• Opportunities to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong radiology and non-radiology based basic science and clinical teams across the campus
• A dedicated Interventional Radiology animal lab is being set up in collaboration with the Advanced Imaging Research Center and dedicated to discovery of novel drug delivery platforms via endovascular and image-guided techniques
• Current and future research opportunities involving advanced imaging modalities and artificial intelligence programs

Applicants should meet these qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent
• Fellowship Training in Vascular & Interventional Radiology
• Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas
• Sub-specialty certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
• Three to five years of post-fellowship work experience in interventional radiology is desired
