The ideal candidate will have oncology and outpatient nursing experience.  This person will provide operational management of daily patient care services and HR management of RN/CMOA staff. Provides direct patient care. Assists in the development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance. Demonstrates continuous performance improvement in GI/GU Ensures we are Joint Commission Ready at all times

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required

• Education
  Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Experience
  5 years Of general nursing to include and
  1 year Of supervisory experience. and

• Licenses and Certifications
  (RN) REGISTERED NURSE Licensure as Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas Upon Hire and
  (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). Upon Hire

Preferred

• Experience
  <1 year Oncology experience preferred.
• EducationBachelor’s degree – BSN

JOB DUTIES

• Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
• Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
• Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
• Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
• Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
• Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes, (i.e., workshops, seminars, and staff meetings).
• Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel.
• May provide direct patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
