Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education or related field and at least seven years of experience at a university or academic medical center.
About the Role
The O’Donnell School of Public Health’s Office of Student Affairs is seeking an experienced Student Affairs Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will assist the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs. Education program functions will include support of the OSPH student recruitment, curriculum committee, curriculum development activities, evaluation of educational activities, and accreditation. This position serves as the single point of contact for master’s and doctoral students to aid them in admissions, enrollment, financial aid, and degree planning.
Job Duties:
· Directs, analyzes, coordinates, and evaluates program operation and procedures.
· Develops and/or oversees development of budget for program.
· Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal/external departments/agencies and other organizations associated with and/or receiving benefit from program.
· Familiarity with full-cycle graduate admissions processes.
· Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals.
· Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
· Plans and coordinates special events and participates in conferences; presents data and program information.
· Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provide reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safe-guarded, and financial information is reliable.
· Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
· Coordinates training and development of staff as necessary.
· Reads literature and attends functions to keep abreast of relevant scientific and technical developments related to program.
· Serves on committees as representative of assigned program as appropriate.
· May provide supervision to staff members.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
· Master’s degree preferred
· Experience in educational programs in schools of public health or higher education
· Project management experience
