The Department of Neurosurgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is currently recruiting an assistant professor neurosurgeon specializing in Functional Neurosurgery with a focus in Deep Brain Stimulation and Computational Neuroscience for patients with movement disorders, as well as patients with epilepsy, pain, including facial pain, and will cover some general practice neurosurgery. We are looking for candidates who are eager to join a multi-disciplinary team in an academic practice. This position will be sited at our main campus in Dallas, Texas.
The neurosurgeon will be required to have completed fellowship training in functional neurosurgery. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Neurosurgery and eligible for a Texas Medical License. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow, and medical student education and scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine. Our program is nationally recognized and rapidly expanding.
