Instructor position is open in an established kidney lab at the Nephrology Division at UTSW. Experience is needed in molecular biology, including nucleic acids extraction and quantification, PCR, RT-qPCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, protein extraction and quantification, western blot analysis. Additionally, experience in working with cultures established from mouse models is preferred.
Job duties and responsibilities includes but not limited to: Compiling, writing and submitting research results to supervisor; preparing or assisting in preparation of research papers, reports, and abstracts for publications as one of co-authors; designing, developing or adapting equipment used in experiments or research to obtain desired results; planning and supervising the training of technicians and other laboratory personnel with respect to proper laboratory techniques, use of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
