The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking an Assistant Instructor. Candidate must have an M.D. degree, be eligible for Texas medical licensure, and hold the position of Chief Medical Resident at University Hospitals, Parkland Health and Hospital System, and the VA North Texas Health Care System. Duties will include the teaching of residents, supervision of Internal Medicine house staff, and participation in the academic programs of the Department of Internal Medicine.
This position is specifically for the Chief Resident in Quality and Safety (CRQS), a program of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The role is not approved for remote work from the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS), though it is understood that for certain didactic or educational elements, the CRQS may be at an academic affiliate. Specific duties will include completion of the CRQS curriculum, den meetings, capstone project, and involvement in the quality and safety processes and educational activities within UTSW, specifically at the VANTHCS.
