We are pleased to announce that we are recruiting for an outstanding Psychologist for our Psycho-oncology service in collaboration with the UT Southwestern Simmons Cancer Center.
Profile
We are seeking an excellent Psychologist at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinician or Clinician-Educator Track) to provide evidence based clinical psychological assessment and intervention services as a member of a growing Psycho-oncology team at the UT Southwestern Simmons Cancer Center. Faculty will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment and will have opportunities to provide care for patients coping with a variety of oncology diagnoses.
The Psycho-oncology team uses a strong, collaborative team environment to embody the academic medical mission of clinical care, teaching, and research. As such, this position not only involves direct outpatient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, but it also involves significant opportunities for teaching and supervision of clinical psychology graduate students, interns, and postdoctoral fellows. The team also regularly supervises and produces research on special issues within psycho-oncology.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in pursuing an academic medical career within a collaborative and growing team environment. Clinical training and experience in a medical environment, and a strong track record of teaching, supervision, and/or research is a plus. While Texas licensure is not required for consideration or selection, it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board-Eligible for the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Candidates who are not currently Board Certified or Board Eligible will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with consideration given to relevant experience and qualifications.
