JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern is hiring a Marketing Assistant. We are seeking a professional and experienced individual to assist the Marketing Specialist in various marketing efforts including, but not limited to, email marketing, social media management, graphic design, copy editing, and photography. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, is skilled at prioritization and time management, has outstanding written and verbal communication skills, is a self-starter and an exceptional problem solver. Portfolio with work examples preferred.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Graphic design skills for use in advertisements, email marketing, events, and patient-facing materials
• Skilled with photography, videography, and digital asset editing
• Proficient copy editor with knowledge of AP and AMA style
• Capable in leading multiple projects independently
• Ability to assist with coordination and planning for department events
• Efficient in social media marketing with emphasis on trends and strategy
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of meeting deadlines
• Experience in healthcare or agency setting a plus
ADDITONAL JOB DUTIES
· May perform some or all the following:
o Oversight and management of SharePoint website
o Portrait and event photography
o Flyer and email layouts
o Social media content photos, filming and interviews
