The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Surgery, Division of Foregut and Bariatric Surgery, is currently recruiting for a faculty member practicing in the field of bariatric and general surgery.
Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow and medical student education and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine. Candidates will be expected to participate in bariatric surgery clinic practice and teaching programs at UT Southwestern Hospitals, Parkland Memorial Hospital and additional facilities. Educational responsibilities include the clinical training of general surgery residents. A commitment to basic or clinical research is essential.

Applicant must be Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery and must have completed a minimally invasive or bariatric surgery fellowship by the time of the appointment and be eligible for a Texas Medical License.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
