JOB DUTIES

• The Kidney Cancer Program (KCP), one of two accredited programs (along with the Harvard Cancer Center) by the National Cancer Institute with a Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) Award, is working with SMU to create a strategic plan to raise awareness about the pioneering research, technological innovation and superb patient care, including superior survival rates.
• Expected duties would include developing and implementing comprehensive public relations program for the Kidney Cancer Program, in close collaboration with the institutional communications team. Be responsible for directing video producers to develop short stories from patients and happenings in the KCP, ensuring institutional quality standards. The position will also maintain and update content across KCP program websites and work with our Patient Advocates and our community in fundraising efforts.
• Preferred candidates should be majoring in journalism, public relations, and/or marketing.
• Various administrative and clerical assignments filled on an as needed basis.
