EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

JOB DUTIES
- Maintains high level of customer service to all internal and external customers who are checking into the clinics.
- Assists in coordinating staff screening and onboarding for new hire candidates and internal candidates.
- Trains and educates users on ReadySet registration and scheduling system functionality and capability.
- Monitors front end Occupational Health clinic and Occupational Care clinic operations to ensure adherence to policies and procedures; recommends and implements change as needed.
- Acts as liaison between administrative staff and nursing staff in the Occupational Health clinic and Occupational Care clinic.
- Assist in the coordination of activities with Senior Occupational Health Associate.
- Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: (a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; (b) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIFICATIONS For Clinic Only:
- Check-in & out – Occupational Health Services clinic (new hires & employee compliance updates).
a. Scans driver’s license, consent, immunization records.
b. Explains the drug screen consent & drug screening process – legally must be a consistent scripted statement and process.
c. Notify nursing staff of patient readiness.
- Send reminder emails and/or call employees to remind them of next day appointment.
- Answer compliance questions and problems from walk-in employees.
- Schedules appointments for employee walk-ins.
- Assists patients with iPad usage and ReadySet access.
- Monitor UTD email inbox and Log.
- Schedules workers comp appointments, positive TB test CXRs and consults, exposure follow-up appointments and WPP appointments.
- Notifies employees and schedules MRO consultation appointments – legally must be a consistent scripted statement.
- Uploads Workers comp medical records into iCE (CCMSI/UT System database).
- Maintains Workers Comp log.
- Assists workers comp patients in scheduling specialist appointments.
- Assists workers comp patients in the administrative process (First Reports of Injury forms, Event Reporting, DWC forms, etc.).
- Sends iCE diary (communication) to UTSW HIM after each workers comp visit.
- Receives Workers Comp phone calls in Que.
- Assist with Miscellaneous duties as assigned, i.e., clean lobby and break room daily.
- For Special Pathogens Team Only:
- Schedule COVID test for employees via EPIC.
- Manage OccupationalhealthCovid19testing email inbox
- Maintain high level of customer service by answering calls and emails from employees in need of COVID related assistance.
- Demonstrate EPIC, CRM, and ReadySet proficiency.
- Process lab orders via ReadySet.
- Assist nursing team to ensure staff are returned to campus in a timely manner.
- Manage Occupational Health staff schedule.
- Archive documents appropriately to ensure continuity of care.
