The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center invites applicants at the Assistant Instructor level for a faculty position. The selected applicant will serve in a leadership role in a research laboratory helping to mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers and will work on an independent research project within an overall scientific focus of the laboratory, specifically focused on how intracellular signaling molecules and mechanisms within the growing tip of an axon that orchestrate growth, navigation, and target selection. The Department of Neuroscience is a core component of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute at UT Southwestern.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field and have at least 5 years’ experience working on Neuroscience and research in axonal connections.
