JOB SUMMARY
Provide care and support for rehabilitation patients and individuals admitted to Zale, with a primary focus on the sickle cell patient population.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required

• Experience
  <1 year Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience.

• Licenses and Certifications
  Music Therapist Board Certification Upon Hire

Preferred

• Education
  Master’s Degree in Music Therapy

• Experience
  2 years to three (3) years of job related experience.

• Licenses and Certifications
  Neurologic Music Therapy Certificate

JOB DUTIES

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing evidence-based music therapy interventions and protocols based on best practices and patient/family needs, to include, but not limited to: psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical concerns.
• Create and manage patient treatment plans, maintain patient documentation, develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the health care team.
• Collaborate on program planning and growth.
• Maintain all departmental standards and continuing responsibilities.
• Educate staff across numerous disciplines about the benefits of music therapy with regard to psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical concerns.
