JOB SUMMARY
The Portfolio Manager within the Information Technology Department plays a critical strategic role in aligning technology initiatives with the institution’s broader clinical, research, and educational goals. This individual is responsible for overseeing the processes to select, prioritize, and govern a portfolio of IT projects and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and portfolios deliver maximum value. The portfolio manager collaborates with executive leadership, department heads, and other portfolio stakeholders to assess project proposals, manage risk, and monitor performance metrics. In the complex environment of an academic medical center, where patient care, research innovation, and academic excellence converge, the portfolio manager ensures that IT investments support institutional priorities, are financially viable, and are executed efficiently across diverse stakeholder groups. Please note, this position is a temporary role with the option of permanent hire in future.
