Profile
This position will be located in the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Division within the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern and several clinics at Children’s Health℠ Children’s Medical Center Dallas, including Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, 22Q Deletion Multidisciplinary Clinic, and Complex Care Medical Services. Responsibilities include provision of clinical neuropsychological assessment and consultation services, supervision of pre- and post-doctoral trainees, and participation in the overall academic mission, with opportunities for involvement in our APA accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology as well as ample opportunities to teach medical residents and fellows in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Primary patient populations include neurodevelopmental and genetic disorders, spina-bifida, and a broad range of complex medical disorders.
Although the psychologist will be clinically embedded in the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Division, the primary academic appointment will be in the Department of Psychiatry.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate who espouses a flexible approach to assessment and is experienced in working with children and adolescents with a range of neurocognitive disorders. Requirements include ABPP/CN-eligible postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology, education and training at APA-accredited doctoral program and internship sites. While Texas licensure is not required for consideration or selection, it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position. Preference will be given to Spanish bilingual candidates and clinicians with early childhood experience.
