The Center for the Genetics of Host Defense is seeking a Professor, Tenure-Accruing Track, Nontenured, in the Center for the Genetics of Host Defense, to perform research with a high level of independence, experienced in human genetics, and in the study of pathogenesis of infectious diseases. The candidate will perform research within the framework of a highly collaborative Center for Genetics of Host Defense. Applicants with expertise in immunology, biochemistry, and/or human genetics are preferred. Investigators will be expected to secure independent funding to support their research, and at the same time, devote themselves to the goals of the Center as a whole while training and guiding their team members. The candidate must also be able to write proficiently and present his work to members of the Center.
Successful applicants must have a Ph.D. and at least three years of research and human genetics experience.
