JOB SUMMARY
The Department Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting and optimizing departmental operations within UT Southwestern’s health system enterprise, with a primary focus on data integrity, reporting, and process improvement in PeopleSoft and other Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This position ensures the accuracy and efficiency of personnel transactions, position management, and workforce reporting, providing vital analytical and technical support to departmental leadership. The Analyst collaborates closely with UTSW Human Resources, Internal Medicine Grants & Finance teams, and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, to streamline workflows, troubleshoot system issues, and enhance the integration of HRIS data with departmental operations. Responsibilities include managing and auditing employee records in PeopleSoft, preparing workforce analytics and operational dashboards ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements, and serving as the department’s subject matter expert on HRIS functionality and reporting. This role requires strong technical aptitude with enterprise HR systems, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that improve administrative efficiency and support the department’s academic and clinical mission. Please note, this role is 100% on site.
