JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator will function as one of two departmental coordinators and will focus primarily, but not solely, on adult volunteers. This position will coordinate volunteers to include recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling assignments, providing ongoing support, and maintaining accurate records. The Coordinator will collaborate with hospital and clinic staff to identify needs, ensuring volunteers receive appropriate guidance. The coordinator will be familiar with all volunteer roles within the volunteer system and the institution and will assist with on-site engagement. The coordinator will place the volunteer appropriately and with the Administrative Assistant and will work with software systems to maintain volunteer PeopleSoft (POI) status and statistics.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
• Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in social service-related field. or
Equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience
2 years of coordinating volunteer services or social service-related programs.
JOB DUTIES
• Recruitment, retention and placement of appropriate volunteers.
• Matches skills, experiences and expectations of volunteers to available positions.
• Training and orienting of volunteers to ensure compliance with hospital policy and procedures
• Manages volunteer scheduling and coordination of service hours
• Maintains volunteer service records and tracking documents; evaluate participants.
• Responsible for monitoring, supporting, and celebrating volunteers
• Act as a liaison with clinic staff and management team to develop partnership and assess volunteer needs
• Develops and assist with managing policies, procedures and standards for volunteers
