The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking an outstanding individual for a clinician-educator faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in the Division of General and Community Pediatrics at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health and with the UT Southwestern Clinical Informatics Center.
Clinical responsibilities will include providing direct patient care in the outpatient setting within the Children’s Health system, and supervising trainees in the primary care setting.
In addition, this individual contributes to the mission of the UT Southwestern Clinical Informatics Center. The individual will act as a clinical research liaison between the Clinical Informatics Center and the Children’s Medical Center informatics leadership team. Additionally, this individual will support the Clinical Informatics Center- sponsored educational initiatives at Children’s Medical Center, such as Clinical Informatics fellowship rotations and participate in Informatics Coordinating office consultations as a faculty informaticist.
The Division of General and Community Pediatrics offers a variety of clinical, educational, research, and administrative opportunities for candidates.
Applicants should have experience in outpatient pediatrics care, be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas, and be board certified in Pediatrics. Previous experience in outpatient pediatrics and trainee supervision is preferred. Previous training in Clinical Informatics is required.
