Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Overview
The UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship is a 12-month immersive program designed for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants. As the sole academic psychiatry program in Dallas, the fellowship combines rigorous didactic learning and hands-on clinical experiences at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and affiliated sites. This program equips participants with the skills needed to deliver high-quality psychiatric care, offering exposure to a diverse range of patients and diagnoses that mirror the economic, racial, and ethnic diversity of Dallas. Graduates emerge as skilled and culturally sensitive mental health providers, contributing to improved psychiatric care both locally and beyond.
