POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER – Cancer Immunology and Immune Engineering
A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Jaehyuk Choi, MD, PhD, Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Director, Center for Cellular Therapy and Cancer Immunology Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study cancer immunology and immune engineering. Our laboratory has several exciting projects related to cutting-edge molecular biology techniques with innovative therapeutic approaches to generate rationally designed novel immunotherapeutics for cancer.
The successful candidate will work on projects investigating immune regulation mechanisms, with particular emphasis on T cell biology and immune regulation cancer immunology and immunotherapy, and protein and Cell Engineering of Next-generation immunotherapies
Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related field. Experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques. Candidates must also have experience with flow cytometry and immunological techniques leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
Preferred Qualifications include experience with mouse models, familiarity with next-generation sequencing analysis, a background in T cell biology or cancer immunology and programming skills (R, Python) for data analysis.
