A postdoctoral training position is available in the vascular-immunology laboratory of Laurel Y. Lee, MD,DPhil, in the Division of Cardiology and the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study the crosstalk between immunity, vascular biology, and metabolism in cardiovascular diseases. Our multidisciplinary basic science laboratory has several exciting projects related to understanding how immune activation alters vascular homeostasis at the molecular and cellular levels and contributes to various cardiovascular and metabolic disease processes, such as atherosclerosis. Our laboratory’s ultimate goal is to help prevent heart attacks, strokes, or ischemic limb losses.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates with PhD, MD, or MD, PhD degrees to join us for this exciting endeavor. Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, in vivo mouse studies or related fields is recommended. Prior training in immunology, vascular biology, metabolism, bioinformatics and/or genetic mouse models is a plus but not required.
