JOB SUMMARY
UT Southwestern Medical Center is actively seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic I (Night Shift: Saturday through Wednesday, 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM) to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and cooling systems across university facilities. Working under general supervision on one of three shifts, this role supports the reliable operation of large-scale HVAC, steam, and chilled water systems. We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in the operation and maintenance of large (25,000 CFM) air handling equipment, steam pressure reducing stations, heating and chilled water systems, and pumps.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of relevant experience in inspecting and adjusting HVAC components, performing preventive maintenance and repairs, monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting exhaust systems, and completing mechanical and minor electrical work. Strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication are essential.
Work Location: Dallas Campus; assist other UTSW locations as needed.
Shift Requirement: Saturday through Wednesday, 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM; overtime when needed or when available with leadership approval.
