University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, a nationally recognized leader in pediatric healthcare, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Medical Director of Kidney Transplant to lead our comprehensive Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program. Key Responsibilities:

·         Provide overall clinical leadership and strategic direction for the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program.

·         Collaborate with a high-performing, multidisciplinary team including transplant nephrologists, transplant surgeons, transplant coordinators, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, and other pediatric specialists.

·         Oversee all aspects of pre-transplant evaluation, transplant care, and long-term follow-up for pediatric kidney transplant recipients.

·         Ensure compliance with UNOS, CMS, and other regulatory requirements, champion best practices in safety, quality, and outcomes.

·         Collaborate closely with hospital leadership and institutional partners to advance program development and patient-centered care.

·         Drive research initiatives, clinical trials, and/or quality improvement projects related to pediatric transplantation.

·         Mentor trainees, junior faculty, and support educational efforts within the program and the division of pediatric nephrology.

·         Represent the transplant program in institutional, regional, national, and international forums.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD or DO with board certification in Pediatric Nephrology and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas. A minimum of three years of post-fellowship clinical experience in pediatric kidney transplantation is required, with prior leadership or directorship experience in a transplant setting strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in clinical care, teaching, research, and/or quality improvement, along with strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
