Fundamental biomedical research; Elucidation of mechanisms by which genetic mutations of WLS gene cause developmental disorder.
This Postdoctoral Reseacher will combine structural biology, biophysics and cell biology approaches to assess the impact of each Zaki Syndrome-causing mutation on WLS’s ability to bind, transport or release Wnt. This work will provide first insights to the dynamics of WLS-Wnt interaction and may enable the design of mechanism-based intervention for Zaki Syndrome patients.
