EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Experience
One (1) to two (2) years in Physical Therapy is required.
- Licenses and Certifications
- (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). or
(CPRAED) CPR AED course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). - (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Valid Texas driver’s license
- Proof of driver’s insurance
- (LPT) LIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST
- (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). or

JOB DUTIES
- Directs and aids patient in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training using pulleys, weights, steps, and inclined surfaces.
- Provides instructions in therapeutic procedures to be continued by the patient/family.
- Adapts conventional physical therapy techniques to meet the needs of patients unable to comprehend verbal commands or voluntarily carry out a regime of therapeutic exercises.
- Designs physical therapy programs and sets goals for each patient.
- Evaluates, records, and reports on patient’s progress for review by members of the care team.
- Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of treatment.
- Responsible for monitoring delivery of physical therapy services in adherence to agency’s clinical standards.
- Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program.
- Provides supervisory visits for Physical Therapy Assistant as required by state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for participating in on-call rotation and emergency call according to agency policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
