The Veterinary Research & Oncology Clinic (VROC) at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas invites applications for a tenure-track or clinical track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Veterinary Medical Oncology. We seek candidates with a DVM degree or equivalent who are ACVIM board-certified and eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Texas to join our expanding clinical team.
VROC offers cutting-edge, innovative therapies for companion animals, supported by state-of-the-art treatment facilities. Our team works closely with other specialties to provide the most advanced medical and radiation oncology care available. VROC is located within the Department of Radiation Oncology and benefits from substantial funding from federal and state agencies, including multiple R01 grants. These resources support a wide range of preclinical and clinical research areas, including novel therapeutics testing, innovative irradiation regimens, medical imaging, image-guided therapy, heavy ion therapy, automatic treatment planning, and artificial intelligence driven medical oncology innovations.
The position offers uniquely collaborative opportunities with human oncologists and researchers within the department, as well as with investigators affiliated with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN)-designated Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the largest national cancer centers.
The role will focus primarily on the clinical care of companion animals but will also offer significant opportunities for scholarly growth. This position will contribute to the advancement of One Health and One Medicine approaches and to the development of innovative treatments applicable to both veterinary and human patients.
