POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER
-We are interested in studying the brain circuits implicated in treatment resistant depression using mouse models. We use a variety of techniques including mouse handling/behavior, histology, surgery, chemogenetics, and in vivo electrophysiology.
-Assembles and/or operates various laboratory equipment and apparatuses.
-Records resulting data in accordance with established methods. Confers with supervisor concerning results obtained and modifies procedures in accordance with instruction of supervisor.
-Analyzes research data and designs experiments in conjunction with the principal investigator.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
– Has a graduate school degree (PhD) in neurobiology, neuroscience, or an equivalent area.
– An ideal candidate will have experience with the following techniques: rodent handling, rodent behavioral analysis, in vivo electrophysiology, stereotactic viral injections, and histology.
