A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available immediately in a cancer research laboratory at UTSW Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. The lab research focus is to design, develop and evaluate novel nanomaterials for cancer imaging and therapy.
Duties of the postdoctoral researcher will include: plan experimental protocols, compile and evaluate experimental data, develop new or revise existing techniques and procedures based on newly compiled data, performing experiments in the lab as well as animal experiments in the Animal Resource Center (ARC), prepare and/or assist in the preparation of research papers, reports and abstracts for publication.
Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to work in a highly productive multidisciplinary environment with a team of experts in basic and translational research. The proposed study will be to apply nanotechnology to investigate fundamental tumor acidosis mechanism driven by aerobic glycolysis (Warburg Effect) of cancer cells.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Chemistry, Cancer Biology, Material Science or related discipline with knowledge and experience in tumor metabolism.
