JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Director for Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) Clinical Research Operations, works under limited supervision to implement, oversee, and evaluate the programmatic activities associated with all business operations associated with clinical research in the SCCC Clinical Research Office (CRO). The Manager will be expected to perform the following job duties:
1. Team Oversight and integration
a. Provide leadership and oversight to teams handling AR/AP, departmental financial metrics, and salary sourcing. Helping to facilitate collaboration to integrate workflow
2. Strategic planning and process improvement
a. Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce redundancies and enhance efficiency in clinical trial finance.
b. Develop and implement best practices, dashboards, and metrics to support decision-making.
c. Partner with CRO and institutional leadership to translate operational data into strategic insights.
3. Platform implementation & optimization
a. Lead or support implementation of new operational or financial platforms.
b. Ensure platform adoptions across all relevant teams and alignment with strategic goals.
c. Identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
a. Serve as the central pint of contact for finance, operations, and research teams on clinical trial process.
b. Communication updates, challenges, and strategic recommendations to leadership
c. Facilitate meetings and initiatives that align teams and drive cross functional solutions.
5. Leadership & Accountability
a. Foster a culture of collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
6. Admin support
a. Oversee the CRO Administrative Team, ensuring they effectively support clinical research operations.
b. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and aligns with broader operational goals.
