The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Part-Time Faculty Associate Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist.
The position will serve patients at the Frisco or Dallas outpatient Otolaryngology clinic location, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Laryngologists and Head and Neck surgeons.
The successful candidate will have training and at least three years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of voice disorders, airway disorders (ILO/PVFM, Chronic Cough), and swallowing disorders. Expertise in laryngectomy management, TEP, and swallowing disorders in the head and neck cancer patient population is desired. Expertise in gender affirming voice care and a background in singing voice and its rehabilitation are preferred. Ability to independently perform acoustic voice analysis is required. Ability to interpret and perform Videostroboscopy, Modified Barium Swallow studies, FEES is preferred. Additional responsibilities may include educational outreach and participation in research. The candidate must have a master’s degree and must be eligible for or hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure from the state of Texas.
