JOB SUMMARY
UT Southwestern is seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician I to join our HVAC Utilities Operations team. We are looking for someone with a minimum of three (3) plus years of journeyman-level commercial or industrial HVAC work experience, specifically maintenance experience with air handlers, pumps, exhaust fans, compressors, vacuum systems, reverse osmosis and DI water systems. As HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician I, you will perform preventive maintenance on various buildings, systems, and equipment, such as electrical, air systems, deionized water system and plumbing systems, mechanical equipment, etc. and pro-actively maintain all aspects of assigned area of responsibility.
This position consults with customers on priority of work and assume full ownership of customer problems and equipment breakdowns; serves as liaison between customer and Facilities Management; start up, shut down and adjust equipment or systems in accordance with established operational, safety procedures and complete all UTSW required compliance training; adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. Works under general supervision to provide journeyman level skills in performance of work of two trades or crafts.
Work Location: Dallas Campus; assist other UTSW locations as needed.
Shift Requirement: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; ability to work weekends and after-hours during emergency situations; support area shift coverage when needed; overtime when needed or when available with leadership approval.
