JOB SUMMARY
The Distribution Technician supports daily operations by receiving, storing, distributing, and replenishing medical and non‑medical supplies throughout the organization. This role ensures accurate inventory management, timely delivery of products, and adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Distribution Technician works collaboratively with clinical and non‑clinical teams to maintain appropriate stock levels, support efficient operations, and contribute to uninterrupted patient care.

Completes and maintains all job performance requirements and standards as outlined in UT Southwestern and Department policies. Receives medical supplies and equipment in warehouse management system and databases. Loads and unloads trucks utilizing material handling equipment. Ensures all pallets are secure and stable for transportation and handling. Prepares, picks and stages orders for delivery to customer. Conducts put away function ensuring items are properly organized and stored in designated locations. Performs inventory functions including cycle counts as directed. Operates reach truck, order selector, and pallet jacks (Electric/Manual). Picks up and delivers medical supplies and equipment to/from UT Southwestern Hospitals and Clinics. Utilizes passenger van, cargo van, and 26 box truck to deliver supplies and equipment. Maintains cleanliness of warehouse including removing boxes/packing materials and sweeping. Performs other duties as assigned.
