Profile

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry is seeking an outstanding Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, with interest in eating disorders, for a faculty position in the Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders at Children’s Medical Center Plano. The position will involve clinical care across the center’s programs including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and the Pediatric Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) Treatment Program. The position includes opportunities for supervision of trainees of various disciplines and participation in the department’s academic mission. The specific clinical, educational, and research interests of the faculty candidate and the needs of the department will determine the exact effort distribution of the selected faculty member.

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. While Texas licensure is not required for consideration or selection for the position, it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position. The ideal candidate will have specialty eating disorder treatment training and experience.   Additionally, a commitment to an academic career is preferred.
