Job Number: 949965
Category: PostDoc
A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Daniel Kober in the department of Biochemistry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The focus of the position is to carry out a high-throughput screen to identify, develop, and validate inhibitors of the Site-One Protease (S1P) / SPRING complex. Building on our recent publications in PNAS and Nature Communications (PMID: 40299693 and 38977690), the postdoc will screen for small molecule inhibitors of the complex and interrogate hits using established enzymatic and cell-based counter-screens. Computational screening methods may also be utilized. In parallel, the postdoc will develop new cell-based tools to interrogate the role of S1P and lead hits in cancer models.
