JOB SUMMARY
UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Analyst I to join our fast-paced, forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills—both written and verbal—as well as sharp analytical thinking and organizational abilities. In this pivotal role, you’ll support internal stakeholders and leadership by performing in-depth departmental analyses, building financial models, forecasting and variance analysis. Your insights will help drive strategic decisions and improve the accuracy and clarity of financial reporting, promoting transparency and accountability across divisions. We’re looking for someone who can distill complex financial concepts into clear, actionable information. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access is essential, and familiarity with Adaptive Planning and Power BI is a strong plus. While prior experience in healthcare finance is preferred, it’s not required. Works under general supervision to provide responsible skilled assistance in performing financial analysis for department. Responsible for completing less complex financial analysis and developing forecast models.
