JOB SUMMARY
The Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care (CDRC) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional to support the financial management of grant-funded and departmental projects. This role will serve as a key financial partner to research and administrative leadership, supporting the development and execution of funding strategies that ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the center’s research mission. This position is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of federal, state, institutional, and philanthropic funding sources. This role is responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the accurate allocation of expenses across multiple funding sources. The successful candidate will oversee salary sourcing allocations, process funding changes and cost reallocations, analyze expenditures against the general ledger, and resolve funding discrepancies while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and sponsor requirements.
In addition, this role provides strategic financial planning and stewardship for the CDRC, including developing multi-year financial projections, evaluating utilization and trends, identifying financial risks and opportunities, and advising leadership on resource allocation decisions. The position provides financial oversight of subaward agreements and is responsible for reviewing and processing a variety of financial transactions, including expense reports, payment requests, invoices, and cost transfers. Additional responsibilities include performing reconciliations and variance analyses, supporting project closeout activities, generating and analyzing financial data from enterprise systems, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. This role requires strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure sound financial stewardship and effective resource management. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strategic thinking, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
