We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to investigate cholinergic function in the human hippocampus using intraoperative electrophysiological recordings with high-density neural probes. The project provides a unique opportunity to study human hippocampal computation at single-neuron and population levels.
Successful candidates should be intellectually curious, collaborative, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment spanning neuroscience, neurosurgery, engineering, and computation.
We provide extensive scientific and career mentorship, access to advanced human neurophysiology and computational resources, and individualized training to support the postdoctoral fellow’s long-term research and career goals. A minimum commitment of two years is preferred.
Applicants should have a PhD in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, computational neuroscience, or a related field; strong programming and quantitative skills; experience with machine learning and/or statistical modeling; and the ability and willingness to work in the operating room. Experience with electrophysiology, neural data analysis, signal processing, computational modeling, or human neuroscience is highly desirable
