William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital

Engineered to be at the vanguard of patient-centric care, the 460-bed William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital was recognized as a Top Performer by The Joint Commission in its first full year of operation. Opened for patients in 2020, the newly renovated 12-story third tower serves as the clinical home for the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute and adds operating rooms, interventional suites, a newly expanded Emergency Department, and two new parking facilities. The project enhances both the quality of care and the efficiency of delivery to accommodate growth. As a hospital within an academic medical center, Clements University Hospital is a centerpiece for carrying out UT Southwestern’s three-part mission – to heal, innovate, and educate. It’s a place where the intellect, skill, and science of UT Southwestern are translated into the delivery of compassionate patient care.

Zale Lipshy Pavilion

Zale Lipshy Pavilion

The 148-bed Zale Lipshy Pavilion is one of the world’s premier neurological diagnostic and treatment centers and has been certified as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. In addition to the neurosciences, it is also a treatment center for spine, orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurotology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and other services.

Designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in 2015 as a comprehensive center, Simmons Cancer Center is the only cancer center Back to Table of Contents 37 in North Texas to attain this prestigious status, which the NCI bestows in recognition of innovative research and excellence in patient care.
