The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Neurology, Section on Statistical Planning and Analysis seeks highly qualified applicants for a full-time faculty appointment. We welcome innovative scholars who will conduct research for publication in journals and collaborate on projects in neurology, developing methodological development, and supporting investigators in study design, statistical analyses, publications and statistical support for research grant proposals.
Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a closely related field or related field with excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates with a strong interest in collaborating with biomedical investigators, independent research, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of multidisciplinary teams. Appointment rank and track will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule. The position is security-sensitive and subject Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.

The Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is a nationally recognized leader in the comprehensive management of neurological conditions. Our vibrant department comprises more than 75 full-time faculty in 12 subspecialty sections, supporting a spectrum of complex and innovative approaches to neurological care, a broad range of novel research programs, and a panoply of educational opportunities for trainees. The department includes a section with biostatistical expertise which have independent research focused on neurological diseases and collaborations with faculty within the department
