JOB SUMMARY
Works under minimal supervision to assist in project development while exercising independent judgement and authority as required. Manage overall project and program development activities.
The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of research, manuscript, and grant-related activities for the Harbour Lab. This role manages a pipeline of research projects for medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees, ensuring timely onboarding, compliance with institutional requirements, and alignment with the department’s Clinical Research Unit. The Project Manager provides structured guidance on data collection, data organization, and coordination of data analysis, and drives manuscript development including drafting, figure and table preparation, and submission management.
This role serves as the central point of coordination for internal and external collaborations, including academic and industry partners, ensuring clear communication, adherence to timelines, and successful project execution. The Project Manager supports grant development by maintaining funding opportunity pipelines, coordinating application preparation, tracking deadlines, and preparing required progress reports for active grants and donor-funded projects.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of manuscripts from initial draft through submission and resubmission, ensuring all author documentation and journal requirements are complete and accurate. This position works closely with lab leadership and departmental stakeholders to support scheduling, recruitment coordination, grant activities, and overall lab operations, driving accountability, efficiency, and high-quality deliverables across all initiatives.
