JOB SUMMARY
UT Southwestern is seeking an experienced and skilled Fleet Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of three (3) plus years of hands-on automotive repair work experience, active EPA Section 609 Certification and Texas Motor Vehicle Inspector License; an ASE certification is strongly preferred. Strong problem-solving skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility in work hours are essential for success in this role.
As a Fleet Motor Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, including shuttle buses, passenger vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and specialized equipment. Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems.
Work Location: Dallas Campus; assist other UTSW locations as needed.
Shift Requirement: Day shift position; Monday through Friday, hours can range from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
