JOB SUMMARY
Works under minimal supervision to supervise, perform, and carry out goals and daily operations of parking services activities/personnel.
100% onsite Monday – Friday

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience
4 years related experience, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Licenses and Certifications
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Class “C” Driver License with an acceptable driving record and the ability to operate a university vehicle Upon Hire

JOB DUTIES
- Supervises daily parking enforcement operations by assigning patrol areas, schedules, and responsibilities. Monitors field activity to ensure consistent, fair, and effective enforcement of parking regulations.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management to enforcement staff. Ensures officers are properly trained in enforcement procedures, customer service expectations, safety protocols, and use of parking enforcement tools and systems.
- Oversee enforcement activities across main campus and offsite locations, ensuring compliance with parking rules, conducting periodic audits (e.g., space counts, patrol coverage), and addressing operational gaps.
- Ensures proper use of enforcement tools and systems, including handheld citation devices and license plate recognition (LPR) technology. Reviews enforcement data for accuracy, productivity, and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to PEO staff to support campus events as needed.
- Responds to and resolves escalated parking complaints, incidents, and disputes via Service Catalog request, email or phone calls. Conduct or oversees investigations and ensure appropriate follow-up actions, including issuance of warnings or citations.
- Oversee internal parking appeals process, including submission review, developing recommendations for the committee, preparing appeal packets, and actively participating in monthly appeal meetings.
- Ensure that monthly vehicle inspection checks are conducted for parking enforcement fleet vehicles.
- Maintain mileage logs and toll-tags for all Auxiliary fleet vehicles.
- Provides guidance and decision-making support in situations requiring enhanced enforcement actions, including vehicle immobilization (booting), ensuring adherence to departmental policies.
- Monitors and reviews daily enforcement reporting, including counts, citation activity, and incident logs. Analyzes trends and provides recommendations to improve compliance, utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Promotes a customer-focused enforcement approach by ensuring staff provide accurate information, directions, and education to employees, patients, students, and visitors to encourage voluntary compliance.
- Ensures enforcement staff respond appropriately to motorist assistance needs (e.g., air-assist vehicle jump-starts) and maintain a professional, service-oriented presence.
- Maintains coordination with dispatch, campus police, and other departments by ensuring timely reporting of criminal activity, safety concerns, and traffic impacts.
- Assists in the development and implementation of enforcement strategies, traffic control measures, and parking signage improvements to enhance safety and compliance.
- Supports Parking Services leadership with reporting, special projects, and process improvements related to enforcement operations, technology systems and overall program effectiveness.
- Ensures staff adherence to departmental policies, university guidelines, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining flexibility to adjust operations based on departmental needs, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
