JOB SUMMARY
Works under general supervision to provide administrative support in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Home Health department.

JOB DUTIES

• Generates month end reports and other reports as requested.
• Benefit verification, Mileage, Office supply orders
• Performs back-up payroll on bi-weekly basis.
• Tracks physician orders. Generates weekly late order reports and contacts physician regarding unsigned orders. Assists in monthly audit to ensure accuracy of order database.
• Maintains inventory of clinical packets (i.e., admission packets, discharge packets, etc.), forms, and office supplies., takes inventory of forms/office supplies and notifies Office Supervisor of needs.
• Answers telephone in a professional voice, routes call to correct personnel, takes messages as needed. Forwards telephone to answering service at the end of each day and removes forwarding from phone each morning.
• Performs referral intake. Reviews referral for accuracy and completeness. Contacts referring provider for missing information. Documents in EMR patient registration, patient status changes, and updates referring provider as needed.
• Performs benefit verification. Conducts prior authorization, re-authorization and follow-up on appeal statuses.
• Performs other duties as assigned
