JOB SUMMARY
Children’s Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pediatric Urology team in Dallas.
This role offers an opportunity to provide care across both the inpatient and outpatient settings while working alongside a highly specialized multidisciplinary team. The APP will play an important role in supporting pediatric urology patients throughout their care journey.
Responsibilities include conducting inpatient consultations, daily rounding, and follow-up evaluations; responding to urgent inpatient clinical needs, including emergency department consultations and time-sensitive patient concerns; and assisting with the coordination of admissions, transfers, discharges, and continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
This position is ideal for an experienced pediatric urology APP who enjoys balancing inpatient and ambulatory care, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about providing exceptional care to pediatric patients and their families. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
Full-time schedule supporting a combination of inpatient and outpatient Pediatric Urology care at Children’s Health Dallas, with two days dedicated to outpatient clinic each week.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years of pediatric urology experience is required.
Education
Graduate of a master’s degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
OR
Master’s degree or higher in nursing, with documentation of completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with the clinical practice area and patient population.
Licensure and Certification
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required. Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
OR
Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing, as applicable.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
