A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Samir Parikh (https://profiles.utsouthwestern.edu/profile/202716/samir-m-parikh.html), in the Department of Internal Medicine (Division of Nephrology) at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the metabolic regulation in acute kidney injury (AKI) and sepsis. Our laboratory (https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/parikh-lab) has several exciting ongoing projects exploring the links between AKI, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and aging, as well as how NAD+ metabolism impacts organ injury.
Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Experience in molecular biology and cell biology leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended. Prior experience handling mice is a plus.
